AS Ramadan and Raya bring loved ones together, The Lego Group is encouraging families to rediscover the joy of connection through play.

Ramadan is more than just the beginning of festive celebrations; it is a time for reflection, togetherness and strengthening family ties. Whether it is sharing a pre-dawn meal or breaking fast together, these moments create cherished traditions.

However, in today’s digital world, even the ‘balik kampung experience’—meant to bring people closer—often gets lost behind screens. Instead of catching up with relatives, many find themselves distracted by social media, mobile games and work emails.

To highlight the importance of genuine connections, Lego’s latest campaign video tells the touching story of a grandfather who reconnects with his grandchildren through Lego play.

By inviting them to build a ‘kampung’ scene, he turns a simple activity into a meaningful experience, proving that bonds can be strengthened not just by sharing spaces, but by creating memories together.

From waiting to break fast to visiting open houses, Lego play offers a fun and creative way for families to engage with one another. Parents can turn Lego building into a bonding session with their children, grandparents can join in on the fun and friends can challenge each other to build something unique for the festive season.

Just like the endless possibilities of Lego bricks, a little creativity can add a new layer of joy to Ramadan and Raya traditions.

For many, Raya is also about reconnecting with kampung besties—those childhood friends we see only once a year but never forget. To celebrate these special friendships, Lego Malaysia is launching the #LegoMYKampungBestie contest from March 14 to March 24, giving fans a chance to win exclusive Lego sets worth over RM2,400.

To participate, fans simply need to comment on Lego Malaysia’s social media post and share:

  • Who their child’s kampung bestie is
  • Why they have a special bond
  • What they’re excited to do together this Raya

The three most touching stories will each win a Lego set, perfect for creating new memories together this festive season.

Starting March 1, shoppers who spend a minimum of RM88 on Lego sets will receive exclusive Lego Raya packets (while stocks last). Additionally, from March 14 to April 6, selected Lego sets will be available at a 20 per cent discount.

These festive deals can be found at Lego Certified Stores, Lego Malaysia’s official online stores and partner retailers such as Box of Bricks, Lego Lazada Malaysia, Lego Shopee Malaysia and Brick Magic.
