Girl injured in alleged attack, attempted abduction while walking to Rawang night market
The victim was walking with her two siblings when a man allegedly chased her, grabbed her and pulled her into his house.

SHAH ALAM - What began as a short walk to a nearby night market turned into a traumatic ordeal for a family in Bukit Sentosa 3, Rawang, after a young girl was allegedly attacked and almost dragged into a stranger’s home on Thursday evening.
The incident occurred at about 6.50pm in Taman Bakawali, a usually quiet residential area located about 500 metres from the family’s house.
The victim was walking with her two siblings when a man allegedly chased her, grabbed her and pulled her into his house.
The girl’s father, Mohamad Fairoz Adnan, shared details of the incident in a Facebook post, saying his daughter narrowly escaped death while walking to the night market with her siblings.
“We always read about crimes on social media but today it happened to our own family. My daughter almost lost her life,” he wrote.
Fairoz said he and his wife had allowed their three children to go to the night market on their own because both of them were unwell.
“Normally, I never allow them to go alone, even though it’s nearby. But that day, we permitted them to go. Who would have thought something like this could happen in a neighbourhood that has always been peaceful?” he said.
He said the suspect began chasing his daughter as the children walked past his house, grabbed her and dragged her inside.
“When my daughter was pulled in, her brother immediately ran after him to try to save her. By then, she had already been dragged inside and was about to be taken upstairs,” he said.
Fairoz said the situation escalated after his son shouted for help.
“He stepped on her, punched and kicked her head repeatedly, and then strangled her,” he alleged.

Neighbours who heard the commotion rushed to the scene and managed to stop the attack.
“If they had arrived a little later, I don’t know what would have happened to her. Alhamdulillah, I am extremely grateful to the neighbours and members of the public who stepped in,” he said.
The victim was taken for medical examination and a police report was lodged.
Fairoz said his daughter sustained minor injuries to her chin, lips and gums, swelling to her head and is experiencing trauma. Her siblings are also emotionally affected.
“My children are still traumatised. I don’t know how to fully describe what they’re going through,” he said.
He also alleged that the suspect was neither disabled nor mentally impaired.

Using the incident as a warning, Fairoz urged parents to be more cautious about their children’s movements, even in familiar neighbourhoods.
“Please be careful. Don’t let your children walk alone without supervision, even if it’s close to home. These days, we can’t predict what might happen,” he said.
