SHAH ALAM - Jeneath Wong has etched her name in history as the first Malaysian to win the prestigious Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific (WAAP) Championship.

With this historic win, Jeneath earned coveted spots in three major championships this year—the AIG Women’s Open, the Amundi Evian Championship and the Chevron Championship.
She also received invitations to the Hana Financial Group Championship, ISPS Handa Australian Open, the 122nd Women’s Amateur Championship, and by tradition, the esteemed Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
Sharing her excitement on Instagram, Jeneath described the moment as a dream come true.
“Thank you WAAP, The R&A Golf and Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation for making this event so special.
“Thank you as well to the Malaysian Golf Association for giving me this opportunity to be the first Malaysian to win this tournament and my amazing teammates for making these memories a lifetime!” she said.
