Celebrating beauty brands that go beyond the buzz
Awards play a key role in that process. They serve as a stamp of approval, especially when backed by professionals and chosen by real users.

THE beauty industry today is overflowing with choices, new products, constant trends, and an overwhelming stream of launches month after month.
With so much noise, standing out is no longer just about being new or different. What truly sets a product apart is its ability to connect with consumers on a deeper level, earning their trust, delivering real results, and becoming part of their everyday lives.
Consumers have become smarter and more selective. While influencers still have influence, they no longer hold the final say. People are looking for something more meaningful: expert validation, credible reviews, and recognition that signals quality and performance.
Awards play a key role in that process. They serve as a stamp of approval, especially when backed by professionals and chosen by real users.
Guardian recognised this need and is stepping forward to shine a light on brands, especially local ones that deserve to be seen and celebrated. That’s the spirit behind the guardian Awards: Beauty & Wellbeing 2025.
It’s not just about products, it’s about celebrating confidence, choice, and the evolving definition of beauty and wellness in Malaysia. These awards represent Guardian’s ongoing commitment to recognising what matters most to their customers: authenticity, reliability, and products that truly make a difference in daily life.

Guardian Malaysia, Marketing director, Anna Ng, said the awards continue to reflect trust and authenticity, as winners are chosen by Malaysians themselves based on real experiences and results.
These are not fleeting trends, but products that make a daily difference.
“The guardian Awards: Beauty & Wellbeing 2025 is our annual celebration of excellence that recognises the most trusted and loved beauty and wellness brands in Malaysia.
“We have been proudly running this meaningful and honourable initiative for years, and it continues to grow stronger each year,” she said.
Held at Sunway Pyramid’s Blue Atrium, the event brought together health and beauty experts, media, influencers, and guests for an immersive look at what beauty and wellbeing mean to Malaysians today.
“Through the Guardian awards, we want to celebrate the products that are not just great, but also genuinely improve people’s everyday lives,” she added.
She said that as the country’s leading health, beauty, and personal care chain, they were proud to offer a wide range of high-quality, reliable products that met their customers’ needs, not just in beauty, but in holistic wellbeing.
The award was born out of their core belief in “Own Your Beautiful,” reflecting their commitment to providing every individual only the best.
Celebrating what Malaysians trust and love
The Guardian Awards 2025 features three main categories: Best Sellers, Expert Picks, and Fan Favourites, covering standout products in cosmetics, skincare, healthcare, and personal care.
Best Sellers recognise the products most purchased by Malaysians over the past year, items proven to work and loved by many. These are trusted, everyday favourites that deliver real results.
Expert Picks were chosen by a panel of industry professionals, including a doctor, content creator, makeup artist, and hairstylist. After testing over 100 products for performance, innovation, and relevance to daily life, they selected their top choices, giving shoppers added confidence through expert-backed recommendations.
Fan favourites voting now open
“While expert opinions matter, our consumers’ voices matter just as much.
“That’s why we have also introduced Fan Favourites, an open voting platform where all Malaysians are invited to vote for their most loved products that have made a real difference to their daily lives,” Anna said.
Voting is now open for the Fan Favourites category of the Guardian Awards 2025. From April 30 to June 3, 2025, Malaysians can vote for their favourite cosmetics, skincare, healthcare, and personal care products via Guardian’s website and social media channels.

To make it even more rewarding, voters stand a chance to win prizes worth over RM100,000, including a Dyson Airstraight™ Straightener, ZenyumSonic™ Electric Toothbrush, DJI Osmo Pocket 3, and three Grand Prizes of a 3D2N stay in an Ocean Junior Suite at One&Only Desaru Coast.
A hands-on celebration of beauty and wellness
Guests took part in engaging sessions with this year’s Expert Picks panel, who shared both personal stories and professional insights.
In one session, healthcare professional and wellness advocate, Dr Shazril Shaharuddin and skincare enthusiast, content creator, and lawyer Yasmin Khalid explored the link between health and skincare, showing how balanced habits can empower daily self-care.

Meanwhile, makeup artist Shiyo Joo and celebrity hairstylist Cody Chua tackled common beauty myths seen online, offering practical advice and debunking viral trends. A live Q&A invited open conversations, giving attendees a chance to ask questions and make more informed beauty choices.
Interactive zones, guided by experts, allowed guests to test award-winning products, take part in skincare challenges, and join fun beauty quizzes, making the event both educational and hands-on.
