SEREMBAN – “I thought the whole family had gone out of town, but I never expected that the three of them had actually died in their home.

Those were the words of a neighbour to the family of three whose decomposing bodies were discovered in a house at Taman Bukit Kristal last Tuesday.

The neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said the family was last seen about four days earlier, when they came over to feed the dogs.

“Last Friday or Saturday around 11am was the last time I saw them. He (one of the family member) came to my house to feed the dogs.

“After that, I didn’t see him again. I didn’t suspect anything because I assumed they had gone away or had gone out somewhere,” the neighbour told Sinar.

The neighbour added that the family had been renting the house for about four years.

Forensic examination found a cut on the right arm of the couple's son, while the parents' bodies did not show any suspicious signs.

“We only found out after the next-door neighbour lodged a police report upon detecting a foul odour coming from the house. That’s when we realised they had passed away,” he said.

On Tuesday, Sinar reported the discovery of three decomposing bodies in the residence.

Seremban district police chief ACP Mohamad Hatta Che Din confirmed that the bodies were identified as a married couple aged 61 and 59, and their 30-year-old son.

Investigations at the scene revealed a slash wound on the right arm of the son, while the bodies of the parents showed no signs of foul play.

Forensic checks also uncovered four knives with traces of blood and various types of used medication placed on the living room table.
