KUALA LUMPUR - Talented singer Nadeera Zaini has marked a memorable milestone in her career after being selected to represent Malaysia at the prestigious ABU Song Festival 2025, which will take place this Saturday in Tsonjin Boldog, Mongolia.

Set to perform her hit single Bukan Lagi Kita, the 32-year-old singer said she was deeply moved by the opportunity to raise Malaysia’s name on the international stage, calling the selection a great honour.

"Bukan Lagi Kita is very close to my heart and to listeners, so I want to sing it with my whole soul as a gift to everyone.

"I realise that on this stage I am not just Nadeera, I am a daughter of Malaysia. Every note I sing will be a prayer, a hope, and a shared pride. God willing, I will give my very best performance,” she said in a statement issued by Rocketfuel Entertainment here.

Although not her first international appearance - having previously performed in Vietnam and Indonesia - Nadeera said this opportunity carried far greater significance.

"I am truly proud to represent Malaysia on the world stage. Each time I step abroad, I carry with me the spirit and hopes of fans at home.

"This time is even more special because I will be performing at an international festival alongside amazing artistes from all across Asia. I hope to make Malaysia proud in my own way,” she said.

The runner-up of Anugerah Juara Lagu 39 (AJL39) also expressed her gratitude to all who supported and trusted her, including Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), the ABU representative body that made the selection, as well as her production team, musicians, and loyal fans who have been the backbone of her career.
