KUALA LUMPUR - National footballer Faisal Halim and his wife, Nur Syazwani Mizuana Shahril, have chosen to reconcile and save their six-year marriage, putting an end to their divorce proceedings.

Lawyer Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader, confirmed the matter when contacted by Sinar.

He said Faisal, whose full name is Muhammad Faisal Abdul Halim, 27 and his wife made the decision to reconcile after discussions held a few days ago.

“Yes, they have reconciled, after discussions between both parties. With this reunion, Nur Syazwani is expected to withdraw the divorce application she filed against my client during the case mention at the Klang Syariah Court on Oct 16,” said Akberdin.

Previously, on Sept 2, Syazwani filed for divorce under Section 47 of the Selangor Islamic Family Law Enactment 2003, allowing for a mutual consent divorce, at the Klang Lower Syariah Court.

The court set Oct 16 for the next mention of the case before Syarie Judge Mohd Hairuddin Ab Rahim.

Faisal, also known as Mickey, tied the knot with Syazwani on March 9, 2019. The couple has been blessed with a son.
