BANGKOK – A well-known Thai durian tycoon, Amon Rodthong, has made headlines after offering a 30,000 baht (RM3,882) reward to anyone who successfully slaps his son’s mistress ten times.
According to The Thaiger, the reward will remain valid until the illicit relationship comes to an end.
The businessman also urged authorities to inspect his son’s pickup truck, which was allegedly being used to store illegal firearms.
Amon reportedly became enraged after discovering that his daughter-in-law had been threatened following the exposure of the affair.
His bold move has sparked mixed reactions online.
While many netizens praised him for defending his daughter-in-law, others questioned whether the offer went too far.
Amon clarified that his intention was simply to defend his daughter-in-law’s honour.
He even stated that he is willing to sever ties with his son and transfer all his assets to his grandchildren.
