Man collapses behind Trump during press conference in Oval Office

WASHINGTON - A press conference held by US President Donald Trump at the White House on Thursday was abruptly interrupted due to a medical emergency, German Press Agency (dpa) reported.

A man standing behind the president in the Oval Office in a row of pharmaceutical executives collapsed in front of the cameras.

At the time, Eli Lilly chief executive David Ricks was talking about a deal for weight loss drugs.

He paused his speech when the man collapsed as several people in the room rushed to help him.

Trump stood up from his desk and turned towards the man lying on the floor before the live stream was interrupted.

Journalists reported that the man was a representative of a pharmaceutical company. -BERNAMA-DPA
