‘Money to buy car, shop’: Albert releases new ‘RM500k’ video implicating Ellron Angin
The video, uploaded yesterday on the 'Pejuang Tun Dr Mahathir' Facebook page, shows Ellron purportedly discussing the receipt of RM530,000 in funds with Tei.

SHAH ALAM - Businessman Albert Tei has released another video linked to the Sabah corruption scandal, this time allegedly implicating caretaker state youth and sports minister Ellron Angin, Malaysiakini reported.
The video, uploaded yesterday on the 'Pejuang Tun Dr Mahathir' Facebook page, shows Ellron purportedly discussing the receipt of RM530,000 in funds with Tei.
"I have already given Datuk (Ellron) the funds. I gave RM500,000, with the RM30,000 to buy what? Buy a shop. Datuk remember?" Tei claimed.
The four-term Sook assemblyperson appeared to nod in agreement, responding that there was a loan to pay.
Tei further added that his company had already banked in the RM30,000 to an agent.
The businessman then asked Ellron whether he recalled receiving part of the alleged RM500,000 to purchase a car.
“Do you remember, Datuk?” Tei asked, to which Ellron replied, “I remember.”
When Tei pressed whether the amount was RM100,000 or RM150,000, Ellron responded, “I’ve already forgotten.”
Tei then stated that RM100,000 was banked in, while RM400,000 was given in cash.
The two-minute and 26-second clip allegedly shows Tei and Ellron conversing at the latter’s residence in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
In July, Ellron denied ever receiving the RM530,000 bribe, describing the allegations as 'baseless slander.'
Last month, the Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) deputy president publicly declared his support for Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), despite his party being automatically expelled from the coalition for contesting under its own logo.
The video also appeared to capture Ellron agreeing with Tei’s claim that caretaker Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor had given him a 10 per cent share in an unnamed company.
Tei: “He (Hajiji) gave Datuk (Ellron) (the shares).”
Ellron: “Ya lah.”
Tei: “For Datuk (Ellron) to support him.”
Ellron: “Correct.”
Tei further alleged that one of Ellron’s nephews had acted as a proxy for the shares.
The latest revelation comes just weeks before the Sabah state election, with nomination day set for Nov 15 and polling on Nov 29.
Since late last year, more than a dozen GRS politicians, including several senior state cabinet members, have been linked to the mining scandal.
