Adventure awaits in Japan as PokePark Kanto, a brand-new Pokémon theme park, prepares to open its doors on Feb 5, 2026.

From meeting over 600 Pokémon to walking through a lush forest filled with fan favourites like Pikachu and Eevee, the park promises to bring every Trainer’s dream to life.

A new Pokémon world comes to life

Nestled within Tokyo’s Yomiuriland amusement park, PokePark Kanto will span 2.6 hectares of pure adventure, combining nature, nostalgia and next-level immersion.

The attraction, jointly developed by The Pokémon Company, Yomiuri Land and The Yomiuri Shimbun, will be the first permanent outdoor Pokémon-themed park in Japan.

Visitors can begin applying for tickets on the official PokePark Kanto website starting Nov 21.

The facility stretches across the scenic Tama Hills, offering two major zones, including Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town.

In Pokémon Forest, fans can wander along a 500-metre trail surrounded by greenery while spotting lifelike Pokémon tucked between the trees, featuring Pikachu and friends showing off their familiar expressions and poses.

The exciting experience is open to visitors aged five and above.

Meanwhile, Sedge Town brings the charm of the Pokémon world to life with parades, live performances and bustling shops filled with themed merchandise.

Experience the magic of 600 Pokémon in one visit

Stepping into PokePark Kanto feels like entering the Pokémon universe itself with over 600 Pokémon to discover across the park’s sprawling landscape.

The area also features two main attractions, which are Pika Pika Paradise, showcasing the electric charm of Pikachu and friends and Vee Vee Voyage, a merry-go-round starring the ever-lovable Eevee.

The town will also host daily parades led by Pikachu and Eevee, and visitors can shop for exclusive plushies, apparel and themed treats at the Pokémon gift shops and food stalls.

Fans eager to be among the first to visit PokePark Kanto can try their luck through a lottery-based ticket system.

Applications will open at 6pm (5pm Singapore time) on Nov 21 and close on Dec 8.

The tickets cover visits from Feb 5 to March 31, 2026, with winners expected to be notified in late December.

Two types of tickets will be offered, which comprises the Trainer’s Pass and the Ace Trainer’s Pass, both of which include admission to Yomiuriland.

The Trainer’s Pass allows entry to both Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town, starting at 7,900 yen for those aged 13 and above.

Meanwhile, the Ace Trainer’s Pass, priced from 14,000 yen, offers unlimited access to Pokémon Forest and includes one complimentary experience at each of Sedge Town’s attractions.

Visitors holding either pass can take photos with a rotating cast of Pokémon characters that appear daily.

Due to the park’s hilly landscape, entry to Pokémon Forest is limited to guests aged five and above and visitors should be able to climb 110 steps.

A separate Town Pass, granting access only to Sedge Town, will be available at a later date.

This theme park is definitely shaping up to be one of Japan’s most anticipated attractions of 2026.

Whether you grew up glued to your Game Boy or are a newer fan who fell in love with Pokémon GO, PokePark Kanto is set to be the ultimate playground for all generations.
