SHAH ALAM – Universal Music Malaysia pulled the plug on Dolla’s 'Question' music video after public backlash over its appearance.

The takedown reflected both the label’s responsiveness to community concerns and the growing conversation around responsible content in Malaysia’s entertainment scene.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar expressed his appreciation for the decision, calling it a sign of “discernment and responsibility” by Universal Music Malaysia.
He told Kosmo that he hoped the incident would inspire all entertainment industry players to create content with a greater sense of responsibility and consideration for the community.
The video, released on Nov 6, drew heated reactions on social media for featuring Dolla members Sabronzo (Wan Sabrina Wan Rusli), Tabby (Tabitha Ariel Lam) and Angel (Angelina Chai) in halter-neck tops with corset bodices paired with miniskirts, as well as outfits that exposed shoulders and midriffs.
Netizens criticised Sabronzo in particular, questioning her attire and behaviour in light of her Muslim faith, while Na’im had addressed the controversy, stating that he would consider pursuing Syariah offence charges against her.
“We shall see if they are in breach of any regulations and Syariah law enactments.
“Syariah legal action is within our consideration,” he told Berita Harian.
The immediate action by Universal Music Malaysia came amid calls from concerned community members urging the label to remove the video from all platforms.
