Senior army officer and former minister under MACC probe
The continuing exposure of corruption cases has further fuelled public frustration, with many Malaysians expressing exhaustion over repeated abuses of power by those in influential positions who continue to enrich themselves and their families.

SHAH ALAM - The public has been left shocked following revelations that a senior officer of the Malaysian Armed Forces is under investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) amid allegations involving frozen accounts and suspected bribery linked to defence procurement projects.
The MACC is believed to have frozen six bank accounts belonging to the officer and his family members. In addition, 40 companies are currently being investigated for allegedly being involved in bribery related to military procurement.
The investigation followed disclosures by Bersatu Port Dickson division chief Badrul Hisham Shaharin, also known as Chegubard, who claimed there was a large flow of cash into the accounts of an army officer and his family.
Following the revelations, the MACC initiated a probe and the officer concerned was placed on leave while investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile, public attention has also been drawn to a separate case involving a former minister whose statement was recorded by the MACC over allegations that he received RM5 million and a Lamborghini.
The RM5 million is believed to have come from a property developer, while the luxury vehicle was allegedly provided by a billboard advertising company.
