SHAH ALAM – Digital content creator Nuseir Yassin, better known as Nas Daily, has once again triggered debate after claiming he successfully entered Malaysia using a passport from another country.

While he did not disclose the specific dates of his entry and exit, the vlogger—who is an Israeli citizen—claimed he obtained a second passport specifically to return to Malaysia after being barred from entry approximately four years ago.

“I was blacklisted from entering Malaysia because of my passport. Four years ago, I stood at this border and my entry was denied. So, I got a second passport and came back again. This time, I managed to enter,” he said in a Facebook post on Sunday.

Nas Daily stated that despite being previously told he was not permitted in the country, his experience on the ground was overwhelmingly positive.

“Inside, I found something unexpected. Lush tropical rainforests, affordable food and diverse cultures—Malays, Chinese and Indians living side by side.

“I was told I wasn’t allowed to be here, but once I was in Malaysia, the people welcomed me warmly. That’s what I want to remember, not that the Malaysian government denied me entry, but that the people chose to be kind to me,” he stated.

Public reaction on social media has been divided. While some users expressed excitement over his visit, others criticised his decision to seek a second citizenship solely to bypass entry restrictions.

Some detractors dismissed the move as a mere "attention-seeking" stunt.

On Oct 19, 2022, Sinar reported that the then Immigration Department Director-General Datuk Seri Khairul Dzaimee Daud confirmed that Nuseir had entered the country on Oct 16, 2022, using a passport from Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Khairul clarified that Yassin holds dual citizenship—Israeli and Saint Kitts and Nevis (a Caribbean island nation).

He confirmed that Yassin entered and exited Malaysia using the Caribbean passport while using his Israeli passport for travel to Singapore.

According to the Immigration Department, Nuseir committed no offence under national regulations.

Approval for a tourist pass can be granted upon arrival to holders of a Saint Kitts and Nevis passport.

However, Khairul reiterated that had Yassin presented his Israeli passport, he would have been denied entry immediately, as Malaysia maintains no diplomatic relations with Israel.
