Tabung Haji reviews 2026 operations for a better Haj next year
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan said the exercise was being carried out despite Malaysia's haj management having previously been recognised as among the best in the world.

SUNGAI PETANI - Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has begun a comprehensive review of this year's haj operations to further improve its management and services for next year's pilgrimage.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan said the exercise was being carried out despite Malaysia's haj management having previously been recognised as among the best in the world.
"Although the return flights for Malaysian haj pilgrims will only conclude on June 30, we have already begun a post-mortem on this year's operations to identify areas for improvement.
"InsyaAllah, we will take into account all feedback received to ensure an even better haj experience next year," he told reporters after attending the 2026 Kedah-level Himpunan Asatizah Muda (HAMKA) programme here today.
Also present was Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari.
On Malaysia's hopes of securing an additional haj quota, Zulkifli said the government would continue its efforts, although the final decision rests with the Saudi Arabian authorities.
"We will continue to do our best and hope for a positive response so that more Malaysian pilgrims can perform the haj.
"At the same time, we recognise that places for pilgrims from around the world remain highly limited and are always in high demand," he said. - BERNAMA
