BN's "blue wave" to hit Melaka soon, Rauf says
"Melaka will not have to wait too long."

SEREMBAN – Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh has hinted that Melaka will not have to wait long for Barisan Nasional's (BN) election machinery to move in, following the coalition's strong showing in the Negeri Sembilan and Johor state elections.
"Certainly, Melaka will not have to wait too long for BN's machinery. Wait and see, insyaAllah, when the time comes I will announce it - the blue wave will arrive in Melaka," he said.
He was speaking at Wisma Umno in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan tonight after BN and Perikatan Nasional (PN) secured victory in the state polls
The statement comes amid growing speculation over when Melaka will dissolve its state assembly, with the current state government’s mandate scheduled to expire in 2027.

On July 11, Rauf had expressed confidence that BN’s momentum from its victory in the Johor state election would strengthen the coalition’s position in Melaka.
Speaking to Sinar Daily at the BN command centre when asked about the timing of the Melaka election, Rauf said public sentiment in the state remained positive.
“The feeling in Melaka is always good. It is just a matter of time. We take the spirit in Johor to build up a good spirit in Melaka, Insyaallah,” he said in July.
BN secured a dominant victory in the Johor state election, winning 48 out of 56 state seats and Rauf previously said the outcome reflected strong public support for the coalition.
Meanwhile, in the Negeri Sembilan state election, BN and PN successfully formed the state government after securing a two-thirds majority, ending Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) two-term administration in the state.
The result is expected to boost BN’s confidence ahead of upcoming electoral battles, including Melaka, where the coalition currently leads the state government.
