MB, Exco members to meet Tuanku Nadzaruddin tomorrow
Audience aimed at strengthening ties between state leadership and Tuanku Nadzaruddin
SEREMBAN –
Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim and members of the state executive council (Exco) are scheduled to have an audience with Tuanku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja’afar at a Majlis Menghadap Sembah Takzim at the Tuanku Ja’afar Royal Gallery here on Wednesday.
The 9am meeting is being held for an introductory session and to strengthen ties between the Menteri Besar, the Exco members and Tuanku Nadzaruddin.
Also expected to attend the meeting are the Undang Yang Empat (the disputed Undang), Tunku Besar Tampin and Dato’ Shahbandar Sungei Ujong.
Previously, the media reported that Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir had revoked the appointments of the Exco members with immediate effect.
According to a statement issued by Negeri Sembilan Royal Household Comptroller Datuk Azizi Mohamad Ali, the decision was made after it was found that all the Exco members had breached their oaths of office.
He said the Menteri Besar should therefore present a new list of Exco candidates for the consideration and consent of His Royal Highness in accordance with Article XXXVIII(2) of the Laws of the State of Negeri Sembilan 1959 (UUTKNS).
In response, Ismail said in a statement that there was no need to submit a new list of Exco members as the existing line-up remained valid and would continue carrying out its duties as usual.
