Rizky Febian hopes to strengthen Malaysia-Indonesia music ties
The 28-year-old singer, known for his hit song Kesempurnaan Cinta, said the exchange of concert performances and the growing presence of musicians from both countries were positive developments that should be sustained.

KUALA LUMPUR - Believing that music knows no national boundaries, popular Indonesian singer Rizky Febian hopes cooperation between Malaysia and Indonesia in the music industry will continue to grow, allowing artistes from both countries to complement one another.
The 28-year-old singer, known for his hit song Kesempurnaan Cinta, said the exchange of concert performances and the growing presence of musicians from both countries were positive developments that should be sustained.
"Our aim is to advance music across borders. As musicians, we feel greatly appreciated when we perform in Malaysia. Likewise, many Malaysian musicians are now beginning to perform in Indonesia.
"We are happy to see Malaysia and Indonesia supporting each other in the music industry. I hope this will continue to have a positive impact and strengthen our ties through concerts held in both countries," he told a press conference for Malam Rawan Diorama by Rizky Febian: Live in Kuala Lumpur here, recently.
Commenting on claims that artistes might feel apprehensive or fearful about performing in either country, Rizky dismissed the notion, saying his main intention was to entertain fans who had supported his musical career from the beginning.
"Personally, if you ask me whether I feel afraid, the answer is no. I come to Malaysia with a sincere intention to entertain. At the same time, I am impressed by the work of Malaysian musicians, whose vocal abilities and songwriting are of a very high standard," he said.
He also expressed admiration after listening to demo recordings by several local singers, which prompted him to promote their work to industry contacts in Indonesia.
"They truly deserve greater recognition and a bigger platform. In fact, I have introduced a Malaysian singer to people in Indonesia, highlighting the excellent work being produced here. There is no reason why we cannot support one another," he said.
On his upcoming concert, scheduled to take place at Zepp KL on Nov 29, the father of one said the performance would feature a fresh concept, including new musical arrangements and interactive segments with the audience.
"I want those who attend to truly relive their memories through my songs, especially the fans who have supported me since the beginning of my career," he said, adding that he would perform about 20 songs at the concert.
The singer previously shared the stage with Fabio Asher and Anggi Marito at the Malam 3 Suara concert held at Idea Live Arena in Petaling Jaya on Dec 14 last year. - BERNAMA
