KUALA LUMPUR – Six MPs from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) and one from the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) are among opposition lawmakers who signed a Confidence and Supply Agreement (CSA) with the Madani government on Thursday.

Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the government had agreed to provide the MPs with annual development allocations equivalent to those received by government MPs.

He said the allocations were estimated at between RM3 million and RM4 million a year and would take effect from the date the agreement was signed.

“Today, I signed on behalf of six Bersatu MPs, including myself. The others are those who have expressed support for the Prime Minister’s leadership.

“So, because they have agreed to support the Prime Minister, I think signing the CSA today is more of a formality for them,” he said at Parliament on Thursday.
