Police have arrested a man suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol after his vehicle was involved in an accident that injured six individuals, including children, on the Kajang-Semenyih Bypass Road, early this morning.

Members of the public with information on the accident are urged to contact the traffic unit at the Gerik district police headquarters at 05-7912222, he said.

The suspects have admitted their involvement and have been remanded for three days, until March 26, to assist in investigations under Section 294(a) and Section 509 of the Penal Code, as well as Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
