Two former clinic workers pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate’s Court today to a charge of causing the death of a woman while allegedly performing an abortion procedure two years ago.

Rosmaini Abdul Raof, 43, was charged at the Sungai Petani Sessions Court on Thursday with injuring his wife using various objects in March and last month.

A man suspected of severely beating his wife in Ambangan Heights, Sungai Petani, is now being investigated over the burial of a foetus at the Masjid Al-Gufran Islamic Cemetery on April 2.

Businessman Rosmaini Abdul Raof, who was recently ordered to serve 14 years in prison for assaulting his ex-wife into a coma, is expected to face similar charges involving his third wife at the Sungai Petani Court in Kedah this Thursday.
