A Rohingya man has been remanded for three days in connection with a road accident that claimed the life of a motorcyclist at Kilometre 12.5 of Jalan Kuala Terengganu-Kuantan near Rusila, Marang, on May 27.

Last night Kuala Terengganu police chief ACP Azli Mohd Noor said the incident occurred at about 12.50 pm when all four victims were believed to have boarded a lifeboat on the platform to descend to the sea for maintenance work at the Sepat platform in Terengganu-Kelantan waters yesterday.

Police have confirmed that the driver of a Honda Jazz involved in yesterday’s fatal crash with a UniSZA student’s car at a traffic-light junction on Jalan Kemajuan is suffering from major depressive disorder.
