SBKN, led by social activist Datuk Dr Kalaivanar, has taken a proactive approach through peaceful assemblies and memorandums, stressing that their efforts are centred solely on animal welfare rather than politics.

The Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) today refuted claims that a purported Malayan Tiger was spotted in a weak and sickly condition at Tennoji Zoo in Osaka, Japan, as seen in a viral video circulating on social media.

Weeks after Malaysians voiced outrage over the condition of Kelat, the Asian elephant relocated to Japan, a new video has surfaced allegedly showing a visibly emaciated tiger at Tennoji Zoo.

A woman’s arrest by the General Operations Force (GOF) in Kampung Miah here on Monday led to the seizure of five firearms, including an M-16.

The three elephants Dara, Amoi and Kelat (pic) that were transferred to Tennoji Zoo in Osaka, Japan, remain the property of the Taiping Zoo and Night Safari (TZNS) and do not involve any transfer of ownership or sale transactions.
