Fresh from winning gold in the men’s T20 event last Saturday, the Malaysian squad added another top prize after emerging group champions in the round-robin format, capped by a seven-wicket victory over Indonesia in their final match at the TerdThai Cricket Grounds.

The Sarawakian emerged as champion with a score of 39 in the six-man final, delivering Malaysia its first gold in the event since Heng Chai Yee achieved the feat at the 1993 SEA Games in Singapore.

For the record, this is Grace's fourth hammer gold in the SEA Games, with her previous achievements coming in the 2017 (Kuala Lumpur), 2021 (Vietnam) and 2023 (Cambodia) editions. - Bernama photo
