A man has been remanded for five days from today, to facilitate investigations into the case in which a six-year-old girl was allegedly abused by her mother's ex-boyfriend in Kampung Sinaran Baru, Kempas.

The Social Welfare Department (JKM) is tracing the next of kin of a boy who was abused by his biological mother and her partner in Pasir Gudang on Friday.

Kota Kinabalu Warisan division secretary Loi Kok Liang said following the incident, he urged related departments to take stern action against nursery and kindergarten operators who failed to practise professionalism.
