A woman and her younger brother escaped the death penalty after the Court of Appeal commuted the death sentence imposed on them to 33 years’ prison each for the murder of the woman’s blind husband about four years ago.

On June 1, 2017, Zulfarhan was found with burn marks and bruises in an apartment in Serdang at about 8pm and was pronounced dead at about 10pm at the Serdang Hospital.
