TAPAH - Missing hiker Jaslinda Saludin has revealed she faced numerous ordeals during her 15 days lost in the jungle, including falling repeatedly throughout her ordeal.
The 49-year-old shared her experience in a video clip that went viral on social media after she was found safe today.
“I fell many times, I struggled through the nights,” she said briefly in the recording.
The video, uploaded on the official Tapah Media Facebook page, showed Jaslinda eating while conversing with several individuals at a kampung house believed to be located in Kampung Lubuk Gaharu, Pos Musoh.
Kampung Lubuk Gaharu is understood to be situated along the Tapah-Cameron Highlands road.
The clip was accompanied by a caption reading: “Alhamdulillah, the search for Jaslinda Saludin has finally come to an end. Thank you for all your prayers.”
Earlier, Jaslinda was found by villagers at the Orang Asli settlement of Kampung Lubuk Gaharu at around 3pm today.
She was among 14 hikers and two mountain guides who took part in the Trans Spencer Chapman expedition, which began at 2am on May 23 via the Pos Gedong–Gunung Bah Gading–Gunung Batu Putih–Kuala Woh route.
Jaslinda and another participant, Mohd Hanafi Neikmad, 41, were reported to have experienced health issues and halted their ascent.
However, the private sector supply chain executive was said to have continued to the summit before she was last seen on May 24.
