TAPAH - A hiker reported missing during an expedition on Gunung Batu Putih, Jaslinda Saludin, 49, reveals that she did not eat and only drank whatever water she could find throughout the two weeks she was lost.
In a recent video shared on the Facebook page Tapah Media Official, Jaslinda was seen chatting warmly with the Orang Asli community of Kampung Lubuk Gaharu, Pos Musoh, despite appearing weak and frail.
The woman briefly shared details of her experience being lost in the jungle while waiting for rescue teams to arrive.
“Is this viral? (referring to news of her disappearance). I was all alone and I thought, ‘Is no one looking for me?’
“I truly had no food. I hadn’t eaten for two weeks - I only just ate a moment ago (after being found and brought to the Tok Batin’s home).
“I drank dark water, brown water… (referring to river water or any type of unclean water),” she said, visibly at a loss for words to describe the ordeal of being lost in the jungle.
Earlier, Jaslinda was found by villagers at the Orang Asli settlement of Kampung Lubuk Gaharu on Saturday evening.
Prior to this, Jaslinda was among 14 hikers and two mountain guides who took part in the Trans Spencer Chapman expedition, which began at 2am on May 23 via the Pos Gedong–Gunung Bah Gading–Gunung Batu Putih–Kuala Woh route.
