Parliamentary Select Committee meeting to discuss Azam's issue postponed due to "matters of law"

KUALA LUMPUR -- The Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) meeting to discuss the allegations of share ownership by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki, scheduled on Jan 19, have been postponed.
Through a letter issued by Dewan Rakyat Secretary Nizam Mydin Bacha Mydin, the meeting will be postponed to a date that will be announced later due to several "matters of law".
"Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) for Agencies Under the Prime Minister’s Department that have been scheduled for Wednesday, Jan 19, 2022, has been postponed to a date that will be informed later following several matters of law that requires legal advice from the Parliament legal adviser's office first,'' said the letter.
Prior to this, the meeting was scheduled to be held on Jan 19 at the Parliament building.
The Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) for Agencies Under the Prime Minister’s Department is chaired by Kuala Krai MP Abdul Latiff Abdul Rahman and consists of eight other parliamentarians.
This includes Pasir Salak MP Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, Parit MP, Datuk Mohd Nizar Zakaria, Sepanggar MP Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman and Selayang MP William Leong Jee Keen, to name a few. -- Awani.
