SHAH ALAM - Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) will field four candidates in the March 12 Johor polls, with Tebrau MP Steven Choong contesting in Puteri Wangsa seat.

Choong, the PBM senior vice-president had previously won Tebrau under a PKR ticket in the 2018 polls but quit the party last year. PBM has declared itself as BN-friendly.

He will be contesting against Muda’s Amira Aisya Abd Aziz and candidates from Bersatu and MCA. PH had offered Puteri Wangsa to Muda for the state polls.

Other candidates are Saiful Bahari (Stulang), Hanis Asmui (Maharani) and Azmi Ali (Tiram). Tiram is under Tebrau parliamentary constituency.

PBM has been linked to Bersatu supreme council member and minister Zuraida Kamaruddin who is said to have fallen out of favour in the party.

However, Zuraida has denied any links to PBM.
