Act now before it's too late, PKR's Saifuddin tells opposition amid talks on GE15

PETALING JAYA - Pakatan Harapan (PH) and the opposition parties need to act now to face Barisan Nasional (BN) in the 15th General Election (GE15).
PH secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said Johor and Melaka polls have shown it was crucial for the opposition to unite.
“I believe that both PH and other opposition parties understand that the people crave stability. But they do not see an effort within the opposition parties to compromise with each other.
He an exclusive interview with Sinar Daily at PKR headquarters, he said Umno and BN won in the last two state elections as they were loyal among their grassroots supporters.
BN, he added, won due to multi-cornered fights involving PH and Perikatan Nasional (PN).
“In PH the core Malay party is Amanah. PKR's core is Malay, but it is also multiracial. DAP is multiracial, which makes it harder for the opposition parties to win Malay voters over.
"But when faced with Bersatu and Pas in Malay-majority areas, we seem to be the choice for voters. A Malay who does not support Umno will support PN.
“The two-state elections have elections is that we have a choice to either stay with the current status quo or reverse it," he said.
