Khairy, Zafrul testify in PAC’s MySejahtera probe in three-hour meeting

KUALA LUMPUR - Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Aziz and Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin today appeared before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to testify in the proceedings over the acquisition of the MySejahtera mobile application.

PAC chairman Wong Kah Woh said the 10am meeting lasted for almost three hours.

However, he said the committee felt that there was a need to call more witnesses from the Prime Minister's Department "to provide evidence and clarification on the issue."

Wong said the PAC will summon three agencies under the Prime Minister's Department - the National Security Council (MKN), the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit and the National Cyber ​​Security Agency (NACSA) on April 21.

He further said in a statement that Treasury secretary-general Asri Hamidon and health ministry secretary-general Harjeet Singh were also at today's meeting along with other senior officers from the health and finance ministry.

According to the statement, the focus of the meeting was on

* Awarding of MySejahtera application contract to KPI Soft Sdn. Bhd. on April 2020;

* Awarding contracts through direct negotiations to MySJ Sdn Bhd by the government on November 2021 and on the status of the government's negotiations with the company;
