PETALING JAYA: The price of RON97 petrol will go up by 11 sen RM4.83 per litre from RM4.72 per litre, the finance ministry announced today.
The price for RON95 remains unchanged and will be retailed at RM2.05 per litre. The price of diesel, too, remains at RM2.15 a litre.
These prices will be effective from midnight until June 22.
The ministry added Putrajaya will continue to monitor crude oil prices globally and take appropriate steps to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people.
It said the government will maintain the ceiling price of RON95 at RM2.05 per litre and diesel at RM2.15 per litre even though the market price is above the current ceiling price.
