PUTRAJAYA - Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin has asked Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan to explain what is an agreement and the drafts of the Memorandum of Agreement on the deputy prime minister's post.

"You (reporters) ask him what the agreement and memorandum of agreement mean," he said during a press conference after handing over the Citizenship Decision Letter at the Home Ministry on Wednesday.

He was commenting on Takiyuddin's statement that the draft related to the post of deputy prime minister (DPM) as informed by the Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was not an agreement, but an MOA.

Takiyuddin had previously reportedly admitted that he drafted the agreement when he was a minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law).

He said the appointment of the DPM was at the request of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
