BAYAN LEPAS - PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar hopes to retain her Permatang Pauh Parliamentary seat in 15th General Election (GE15).

However, she said the final decision will be made by the party.

"At heart, I would like to remain in Permatang Pauh but as a soldier, in the party, we can only hope not to be dropped from being a candidate. Hope to be given the seat that the heart desires.

"I leave it to the leadership because ultimately we want to offer ourselves to carry out our duties and it is not something that we can hold on forever," she said at a press conference after attending a meeting with Village Community Management Council (MPKK) here on Sunday.

Also present were Deputy Penang PKR Chairman Datuk Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik and Deputy Chief Minister 1, Datuk Ahmad Zakiyuddin Abdul Rahman.

When asked over PKR's preparations for GE15 and the division of Pakatan Harapan (PH) seats in Penang, Nurul Izzah said a discussion on the matter will be held on September 20.

She said the issue of seat division would be resolved as soon as possible before October.
