Pas discusses alliance with Umno, dissolution of state assemblies in special meeting

KUALA LUMPUR – The Pas Supreme Leadership Meeting today discussed the dissolution of State Legislative Assemblies (Dun), its relationship with Umno and the party’s direction in the 15th General Election.

Pas Information Chief Khairil Nizam Khirudin said the meeting this time would ensure the direction and work motion of the party moving forward.

"The agenda (today) would ensure the movement to face GE15.

"Insyaallah, discussions relating to the dissolution of Dun was done, we will give a written statement.

"What's important is our movement and direction for GE15.

"This meant how we moved, whether we want to stay with Perikatan Nasional (PN) or Umno," he said when met by reporters in the Pas Headquarters, Jalan Raja Laut, here on Thursday.

Pas Youth Chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari who was in the meeting said the dissolution of state assemblies involved three states under Pas – Terengganu, Kelantan and Kedah – was among the important agenda in the meeting.

"We have discussed the relationship with Umno, with Bersatu we had no issues," he explained.
