BN drops Noh Omar from GE15 race, fields two ex-Pas members

SHAH ALAM - Two ex-Pas leaders Kuala Nerus incumbent Datuk Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali and Tumpat's Datuk Che Abdullah Mat Nawi will be contesting under the Barisan Nasional (BN) flag in the 15th General Election (GE15).

In a statement, BN Secretary General Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir through a statement said this brings the number of seats contested under BN to 178 seats.

“Of these seven constituencies, Tumpat and Kuala Nerus seats will witness BN presenting two direct candidates, in the spirit of openness and unity,” Zambry said in a statement.

Zambry further said BN will place Habibah Mohd Yusof in the Tanjong Karang Parliamentary seat to replace Selangor BN chief Tan Sro Noh Omar.

Other BN candidates announced were Kohilan Pillay for the Batu Parliamentary seat, Chew Yin Keen (Bandar Tun Razak), Shamsulkahar Mohd Deli (Jempol) and Adnan Abu Hassan (Kuala Pilah).

"BN is confident that by presenting candidates with various backgrounds and qualifications, they will be able to carry the trust of representing the interests of the people when elected," he said.
