Instead, the former Tanjung Karang MP said he will work and travel throughout the state to ensure BN and Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition fails in Selangor.
The former entrepreneur development minister said he has decided not to contest in the upcoming state elections to give opportunities to younger leaders.
"But I will actively campaign as I want to continue my struggle to defeat PH in Selangor after BN's loss in the 2008 General Election," he said after attending PN machinery launch and Selangor Baharu campaign at Bangi Convention Centre last night.
Noh who was suspended from Umno for six year in January said PN has a bright chance of capturing the state if there is a direct contest between PH-BN and PN.
"That's why when I was Selangor Umno chief, I advised the top leadership to ensure that there would be no three-cornered contests in state between BN, PH, and PAS as it would be detrimental to the party.
"I have said that we need to find a way to avoid a three-cornered fight, and now my prediction has come true with PH winning while Pas and BN losing in Selangor as we saw in GE14," he said.
Noh also expects BN to win 10 parliamentary seats in Selangor if there are no three-cornered contests in GE15.
"At first, I anticipated that Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz (former finance minister) could have won in Kuala Selangor if there were no three-cornered contests that eventually favoured PH."
