KAJANG - A man was killed after his car crashed into a Mass Rail Transit (MRT) track pole in Jalan Reko here on Wednesday.

Kajang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan said in the incident at 9.50am, the 35-year-old victim was driving a Hyundai Getz car from Jalan Reko towards Kajang Town.

"The victim's car was believed to have lost control and hit the MRT pole and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.

He said investigations were underway to find out the exact cause of the crash.

We have opened an investigation paper in accordance with Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

"Public with information about the incident can contact the investigating officer Inspector Mohd Feaisal Mokhtar at 012-9454655 or the nearest police station to provide information to assist the investigation," he said.
