GE15: I will ensure no one is hungry in Puchong - Uncle Kentang

PUCHONG - "I promise if I am chosen to become a Member of Parliament (MP), there will be none who is left hungry in Puchong," says Puchong Parliament independent candidate, Kuan Chee Heng.
The public activist known as Uncle Kentang had promised he would help solve the flood issues that were shackling the people of Puchong.
He said food banks would be made available in religious worship centres to benefit those who are down on their luck.
"I will prepare food banks in religious worship centres that would encourage people to come to the institution. I would also prepare basic facilities such as free ambulances and hearses for the people of Puchong.
"Other than that, I will call for more affordable houses to be built in Puchong," he told Sinar Harian on Friday.
He was known for creating the 10 cent Ambulance, 10 cent Taxi, 10 cent Market, RM1 Homes and other free services.
He said if he was chosen to become the people's representative, he would use government agencies to re-cultivate racial unity that is currently fractured.
"I want to also promise to take care of you and your children's privileges as well as your dignity and welfare.
"If you want to find a YB (Yang Berhormat) that is easy to be found, that would be much easier to deal with - that would be me. I did not study highly, I'm sorry, but I have a sincere heart," he said.
Armed with his 'No One Left Behind' manifesto, Kuan said he is on a mission to prepare the facilities and protection towards senior citizens and single mothers as well as prepare free tuition classes placed in religious worship centres.
He said this to address the issues of abandoned senior citizens and single mothers who are not given their rights.
"In Islam, there is sharia law, but for those who were non-Muslims, many could not gain justice in the claims of alimony and such.
"The government need to form a special division to aid and ease mothers claiming alimony and division of matrimonial property in divorce cases because many could not afford to hire a lawyer and do not get justice," he said.
Kuan said he would continue to prepare special applications to aid the youth in their e-commerce business and create two service centres for the convenience of the local people if given the mandate as an MP in the 15th General Election.
