A magical experience at the Brick-tacular Holidays with Legoland!

I remember vividly exploring Miniland, the impressive miniature display of Asia’s major landmarks, then screaming my heart while on board “The Dragon”, a fun roller coaster for thrill sekers.
While I explored the place with my nieces and nephews back then, now, I return with two kids and a husband in tow - eagerly waiting to explore what this attraction now has to offer.
I’ve come to Legoland at the right time as the entire theme park has been transformed into a replica of Santa’s Toy Factory.
Year-end holidays always feel magical, and Legoland certainly knows how to keep the magic alive.
They recently kicked off the festive season with its Brick-tacular Holidays. Visitors who come will notice how the park is vibrant with holiday decor on every corner.
I imagine how snow will make it extra magical, but let’s make do with the Malaysian tropical weather.
My kids thoroughly enjoyed being entertained by elves and Santa who put up a spectacular show, showcasing their jolly dance moves against popular Christmas tunes.
“We felt that it was our duty to step up ti the task and build a toy factory right here in our resort to support Santa bringing the holidays to Malaysians,” said Legoland Malaysia Resort divisional director, CS Lim.
Here are some fun things you can do while you’re at Legoland this festive season:
- Get to know the friendly elves, and snap a festive photo with Santa.
- Drop Santa a note in Santa’s Mailbox and stand a chance to win a special prize!
- Guests who just can’t wait for Santa can Build-A-Gift for their loved ones at Ollie’s Fun Factory.
- Immerse in the 4D Lego Mythica, Journey to Mythica, where the Lego creatures come to life!
- At Sea Life, you can help decorate the Christmas tree by hanging up your holiday wishes for your loved ones on Legoland’s Snowflake Ornament Card
- You can also get free toy-shaped chocolates from the Legoland Snowman to sweeten up the holidays!
But my personal favourite was witnessing the special light-up of the Giant Duplo Christmas tree, said to be the tallest one in Southeast Asia!
Legoland event and entertainment supervisor, Nor Helmi Merah Hassan said the giant tree took about three weeks to install the lego bricks but to get it to 12 feet high, it took another three days with contractors and even a crane!
“In total, about 450,000 lego bricks were used to build the tree,” said Helmi.
The ornaments are candles, candy canes, stockings, bells, and stars! Just in front of the tree, a lego build Santa and his reindeer comfortably waits for visitors to come and take pictures with him.
