SHAH ALAM - Coalitions under unity government will sign an agreement next week to create stability , says PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli.

The coalitions are Pakatan Harapan (PH) Barisan Nasional (BN), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and possible other parties.

"The agreement will list out a mechanism to manage the difference among the parties while making it compulsory that MPs must support the unity government," he said at a press conference after a join PH and BN mega ceramah in Kampung Tunku Putra, Kulim.

He was further quoted in Malay Mail stating that the parties had their own representatives involving negotiations and the agreement would be ready to be signed next week to gain a unity government with two-thirds majority that would be bounded by the agreement.

The main aim to remain in power for a full term without being dissolved before next general elections.

The agreement would be made public, Rafizi was further quoted.

He said topics on education, economy and religion had to be agreed upon to be in line with principles and the decentralisation of power to prevent parties from being sidelined, however, Rafizi did not go into details.

Rafizi said he wanted to ensure parties agreed on policies and principles relating to governance.

The agreement is also to prevent any possible moves by Perikatan Nasional (PN).

"I don’t feel it will be easy for PN to steal any MPs to cause the fall of the unity government," he said, especially after anti-hopping laws that prevent MPs from jumping ship.
