SHAH ALAM - Ampang MP Rodziah Ismail who is listed to fill the deputy minister position in the Cabinet says she did not lobby for the post.

"I did not receive any offers, I have not been lobbying," she said.

The Selangor Housing, Urban Wellbeing and Entrepreneur Development exco said she has been focusing on her job at state level.

"I didn't expect anything and when I was named as a (parliamentary) candidate and on that day, I went all out for victory and to contribute one seat to (Prime Minister) Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim," she said.

She was met after officiating the Unit Lottery Draw Ceremony and Signing the Property Handover Agreement for 26 Former Selangor 1955 Malaysia Cup Players at the State Government Secretary Building, here, on Thursday.

Rodziah said all parties needed to give as much space to Anwar for him to choose his team including those filling the deputy minister position.

"I am confident that he has many considerations, and the important thing is we want Selangor to be strong, stable within the next four months and to complete our work for the 14th term," she said.

The media reported that at least 35 names have been submitted as candidates for deputy ministers in Anwar's administration. The list is expected to be announced soon, Anwar had said.
