KUALA LUMPUR - The supplementary motion to bar a challenge for the president and deputy president’s posts in the upcoming party polls is predicted.

Former Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin said however he was puzzled as to why the motion had been proposed by the Negeri Sembilan delegate, Mohd Shukri Samsudin.

" As Mohd Shukri is also a representative of the Rembau Division where Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan is the chief it seems a little bit weird doesn't it." he questioned in a Tik Tok video today.

Khairy questioned Shukri motives in proposing the motion as it seemed in favour of Mohamed Hasan.

"Even if you wanted to propose the motion why do it so openly cover it a little.

"What happened to you Mat Hasan." Khairy said in the video.

Khairy added that the motion had received negative reactions from the party's delegates and grassroots during the party's closed debate session which has now entered its final day.

"The motion was debated on but it had met with strong oppositions from the Wilayah Persekutuan and Johor delegates who were brave enough to champion for democracy within the party," he said

The issue of whether the the top two posts will be contested has been one of the main points that have been discussed by delegates and leaders during this four day assembly.
