PETALING JAYA - Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says they will continue the plans to improvise the living standard of the Indian community.

He further added they were currently scrutinising the ideas that had been discussed by his late Special Officer for Indian Affairs, Datuk Seri Ramesh Rao.

“The biggest initiative was related to urban poverty within Indians in the city, and apart from that the (poor) infrastructure and utilities at plantation areas.

“We will also looking into the education of the Indian children as he (Ramesh) noticed there were many drop outs,” he said.

He said this during a media visit at the late Ramesh’s residency in Petaling Jaya, today.
