SHAH ALAM - Former Umno youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin has posted a series of photos on his Instagram account today, showing the reunion of several Umno veteran leaders, including those who had been either sacked or suspended recently, at a wedding.

Calling the party's former veteran leaders as "rebels", Khairy also wrote "Perjuangan belum selesai' (the struggle is not over yet) in the caption.

He was photographed with suspended Umno member Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, who was all smiles at the wedding.

Also present was the Johor Umno chief, Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad.

Further Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's leadership's strongest critics, Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani were also in the pictures posted by Khairy.

It is believed that these prominent political figures were attending the wedding of Bandar Tun Razak Umno chief Datuk Rizalman Mokhtar's son.

In the Instagram story posted by Khairy, Johari was also seen talking to Khairy while Hishammuddin wore a stressed expression.

On Jan 28, Khairy publicly acknowledged that he had been sacked from Umno.

"Tonight I was sacked from the party I love, to which I have given my utmost loyalty.

"Unbowed, unbent, and unbroken," he said in a Twitter post after the announcement made by the party's secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.

Meanwhile, Sembrong member of parliament (MP) Hishammuddin said his suspension from Umno was not the end of his political career but a new beginning for him to continue his efforts towards nation-building.

He, who is also the party's former vice president, said what had happened has only strengthened him to continue to work for the good of the nation and its people.

"As for my next move, I will have to discuss with the Umno Sembrong leadership as to what will be my next plans," Hishammuddin said in a video posted on his Facebook page.
