Unite and take care of Umno, says Nooryana Najwa

SHAH ALAM - Umno needs to be seen as a stable and united political party in order to restore people's trust, says the newly-minted Lembah Pantai Umno Puteri chief Nooryana Najwa Najib.

Nooryana who is also the daughter of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the election in the Umno family was a democratic process that comes with the custom of either winning or losing.

"This competition is a democratic process. In every competition, there must be a winner and a loser. But whatever happens, I hope our party is taken care of, as it is sacred to us.

"We compete in a family atmosphere. Umno must be stable and firmly united if we want to increase the people's trust in the party," she told Umno Online after the Lembah Pantai Umno Puteri Representative Meeting.

Nooryana, who aspires to active and positive changes in the Lembah Pantai Umno Puteri division, says the party is never short of leaders with amazing talents.

"I want to see Lembah Pantai Umno Puteri more active because many people think that Umno lacks young leaders.

"But what I have seen throughout this selection process is that there are many who have talent and interest but may not have gotten the opportunity to stand out.

"My role as Puteri Chief is to encourage them to embrace and show their talents on the right platform and to be active," she said. Nooryana is looking forward to being able to make a positive and effective contribution to strengthening the party.

"God willing, I want to invite more Puteri Lembah Pantai members to be active on the national level.

"I hope that I can make the best contribution to the party, especially in strengthening the party in preparation for the 16th General Election (GE16) later," she said.
