Sole woman candidate Azalina falls short in Umno veep race

KUALA LUMPUR - Sole woman candidate for Umno vice-president post Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said is further lagging in the race for Umno vice president post.

She is currently in fourth place with 36 votes, eight votes behind the third contender held by Titiwangsa MP Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani. The Pengerang MP was previously on the top three list during initial counting of the votes.

Pahang Umno chief Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail is currently in the lead with 47 votes.

He is followed by the incumbent Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin in second spot with 43 votes
