Puteri Sarah to file for child custody
KUALA LUMPUR - Actress Puteri Sarah Liyana Megat Kamaruddin will file a Hadanah (custody) claim for her two children at the Syariah Court Complex here today.
The 38-year-old who arrived at the court at 10.59am did not disclose details of the application.
Hadanah refers to the application of custody for children who are still young and can't manage themselves yet, whether boy or girl, either during marriage or after divorce.
The 'Lu Pikirlah Sendiri de Movie' actress as plaintiff, had filed for divorce on Jan 16 through the legal firm of Akberdin & Co, naming actor Syamsul Yusof or his real name Mohd Shamsul Md Yusof as the defendant.
Syamsul and Puteri Sarah were married on March 8, 2014, and have two children: Syaikhul Islam, 6, and Sumayyah, 4.
On Jan 6, 38-year-old Syamsul made a confession through a Instagram post that he had married actress Ira Kazar in Thailand in the presence of his father-in-law veteran actor Kazar Saisi.
For the past year, the "talk of the town" has been Syamsul's relationship with Ira.
Puteri Sarah had also gone on social media to expose Ira as the other woman and the cause of the rift in her marriage.
On Tuesday, Syamsul filed a nusyuz (disobedient) against Puteri Sarah at the Syariah Lower Court in Gombak Timur, Selangor.
