KUALA LUMPUR - Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal denies lodging a police report against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Bagan MP Lim Guan Eng on Albukhary Foundation tax exemption issue.

He said the report was lodged by Bersatu youth member at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters (IPD) on March 24.

The Perikatan Nasional (PN) deputy youth chief also said he did not commit offence within the Dewan Rakyat Meeting Rules as claimed by Jelutong MP RSN Rayer.

“It was raised in Parliament, I have received a letter from Dewan Rakyat Speaker’s office stating I had gone against the Dewan Rakyat meeting rules for lodging a false report against Lim.

“I have answered the letter released by the Speaker on this matter and have explained, the claims made by Jelutong is not true.

“This is because the report was lodged by a Bersatu Armada member, not me,” he said in a press conference at the Parliament Lobby, here, today.

Sinar previously reported Bersatu youth had lodged a police report urging for a probe on Anwar and Lim on claims of both politicians using their powers under Sections 119 and 120 of the Penal Code.

The issue of the Albukahry Foundation tax exemption being cancelled was raised after former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin claimed Lim had cancelled the exemption and it was approved under the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government after winning the 14th general election (GE14).
